Qualcomm has a new chipset for its midrange chipset linap, snapdragon 700 series, snapdragon 712 announce, which will be released as a minor upgrade of 710. According to Qualcomm, this new Snapdragon 712 chipset will be able to boost performance up to 10% better than the earlier version of Snapdragon 710. However, the Snapdragon 712 chipset is designed with better battery life in mind. Snapdragon 710 can provide better battery life than this new chipset.
Like snapdragon 710, 7 nanosec chipsets are also made in 10 nanometer processes. It has the same Octa CPU and GPU as 710, but speed of CPU clock has been increased from 1.2 GHz to 2.4 GHz. In addition, the Snapdragon 712 chip will have Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ support. According to Qualcomm, charging 0% to 50% on these smartphones running chipset will take 15 minutes.
According to Qualcomm, this chipset will be able to provide up to 35% better graphics performance and battery efficiency than the previous 710. Not only this, this chipset also provides some enhanced audio features. The Snapdragon 712 chipset will have Qualcomm’s “True Wireless Stereo Plus Technology”, which will help in the simplicity of the Tirlle wireless airbags and more low-latency smartphones.
Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 712 chipset will be used in the company’s mid-end smartphones such as Shaomi, Nokia, Vibo, Meizu etc. which have been released this year.
